5 Tips To Consider Before You Start Guest Blogging

# 1. After deciding which blog you want to guest post on, before contacting blog owners with your pitch, read through the posts on that blog and leave meaningful comments. With this you are contributing to the blog and giving the blog owner the opportunity to know you and visit your blog.
Save the URL of the post you commented on and follow up with responses where necessary. This shows you are active on that blog and gives you a better chance of getting your own post been published.

# 4. Usually, blogs with higher page rank are harder to get your post published. So it is better to start with the ones with lesser page rank. Though a link from a Pr7 blog is better than 7 links from a Pr1 site, however, if not for the traffic, blogs with lower page rank will help your SEO also.
